Company History

The history of “Gemählich – the consulting group” began in 1992 when Patricia Gemählich-Kurth opened up a practice as a certified psychotherapist and started freelancing as a personnel trainer. The original name of the company said it all: Seminars & Consulting Gemählich-Kurth. The emphasis was on workshops for executives.

Within the following ten years the range of our established clientele and the variety of projects continuously grew. Seminars & Consulting Gemählich-Kurth expanded its portfolio, offering assessment-centers, coaching sessions and team development. In order to meet the great demand, Mrs. Gemählich-Kurth built up a pool of freelancers and business partners.

In the year 2002, psychologist Stephanie Pesch joined the company to complete the portfolio of Seminars & Consulting Gemählich-Kurth with the sectors of evaluation, market research and personnel selection.

At the end of 2004 the company moved into bigger office space in the city-center of Bonn.

In 2005, Seminars & Consulting Gemählich-Kurth could bring Judith Kähler, another psychologist, on board to meet the increasing demand.

Finally, in January 2006, the expansion of our company was also reflected by the change of name: “Seminars & Consulting Gemählich-Kurth” became “Gemählich – the consulting group”. Although this name allows for many associations, the Middle High German root is very clear: “gemelig” means “agile, adventurous”. And we live up to the promise of our name! .
